Chasing Waterfalls in Paradise

It was always one of my biggest dreams to explore some exotic waterfalls in the middle of a jungle, so when I heard that there was a waterfall tour in St. Lucia, I jumped at the chance to cross another item off my bucket list! We had an awesome local guide who took us to a few different waterfalls, including one that was hidden to most tourists, and helped take some amazing pictures of my childlike joy splashing around in the waterfall. 

Driving into the Volcano

From the moment we got into the country the first thing that all the locals told us was that visiting the volcano and taking a dip in the hot springs was a can't miss experience. We are very glad they emphasized this as it was an amazing experience to walk on an active volcano and experience the natural heat and restorative properties of the springs. An added bonus was my wife and I getting to throw mud all over each other!.

Leap of Faith

I had never gone cliff jumping before, so when our guide showed us a popular area for that very activity I literally jumped (excuse the pun haha) at the opportunity to try it out. I would be lying if I said I wasn't intimidated by the thought of free climbing the cliff I would be jumping, but I powered through and managed to survive the plunge!

We had previously done a sunset cruise in Greece, but the coastline in Saint Lucia is so beautiful and there were some pretty affordable options for a private cruise so we decided to take advantage and book one. We decided to book one of the private options and this worked out so well as we had total freedom as to where we wanted to go, where we wanted to get off to explore, and how fast we wanted to go. Overall, we had a blast and our captain and first mate even surprised us with some awesome snacks and champagne!
